Board Member Agreement – This document is a simple contract for Board members that can be adopted for use with your organization. Though not legally binding, it is an excellent starting point for creating a covenant for individual board members and establishing the collective responsibility of the entire Board.
 
Board Meeting Evaluation Form – This one-page document is a simple tool for evaluating your board meetings. It can be completed at the end of each meeting or sent electronically for post-meeting reflection.
 
Board Profile – This Excel spreadsheet is designed to assess the composition of your board including personal characteristics (age, gender, leadership style, and board tenure), professional skills and development capacity.
 
Prospective Board Member Application – This easy-to-use application is a useful tool for evaluating the skills, affiliations and capacity of potential new Board members.
 
Board Staff Roles Chart – This document outlines the major tasks of a nonprofit camp and provides a framework for assigning the responsibility for their completion among professional and lay leadership.

Asking Strategic Questions (The Osborne Group)  - People remember more of what they say than what you say.  People believe what they say more than what we say.  People enjoy conversations in which they speak the most.  Therefore, it is our responsibility to elicit the case for support from our potential donors! We want them to tell US whatever we want them to REMEMBER. Thanks to the Osborne Group for this list of Strategic Questions that will help you do just that.  You can weave them into a variety of purposeful conversations or use in an interview.  Enjoy your conversations. Donors are fascinating people, let them share their stories with you.
 
Sample Stewardship Chart – This sample chart is a starting point for defining the standard Stewardship and Donor Recognition actions that should take place with each donor, based on their giving level. This chart can be modified to meet the specific plans of each organization. Donor assignments and action schedules should be documented in parallel.
